He is better able to determine what will work, and what won't work, in terms of motions, settlements, agreements and pleas.  His extensive experience with Metro Atlanta judges on a professional level also provides him with additional respect from his peers. This judicial experience is also helpful in the area of family law - where negotiation and seeing matters from both sides can help all parties get to an agreement with which they can live. Clay Davis' experience also includes time spent as a Georgia State Representative. This experience was helpful in providing a deeper understanding of how the laws that are enforced in the court, are created by the people and their representatives.
